Finally my Long term assignment is signed and I will work here in Beijing for the coming two years.
We have now started to look for a new apartment since we can get a new, bigger apartment for the same price as we pay today in San Quan.
Probably it will be at Park Avenue, just south of Chaoyang Park. Most of my colleagues live in this area and since it is close to fourth ring road it is closer going to the factory or to the office.
The landlord of our first choice was not nice to discuss terms with - she wanted us to move out again before the Olympics next year so she could rent out the apartment to a very high rent in August next year...
Just now our agency, Julian, is discussing with the landlord of our second choice and we hope to get a positive answer by tomorrow. We are getting a little short of time since we are going to Sweden for vacation in 10 days and will not be back in Beijing again until two days before we have to mowe out from San Quan.
